The maximum size for a 44mm thick fire-rated door is 2200mm high x 1069mm.

The maximum size for a 54mm thick fire-rated door is 2530mm high x 1069mm wide.

A standard flush door system has a 3-sided frame (left, right and top), however when you combine a pivot door with a flush frame system, you only need a 2-sided frame.  This is because of the way a pivot door works, where the mechanism is set in from the door frame.  The 2-sided frame acts to maintain the flush appearance, where one side is inward opening and the other, outward opening.

This allows for the door to pivot and return to frame correctly, with the flush finish.  In this way, the pivot door can only pivot one way, instead of free swing. Depending on the location of the pivot to the door, you can achieve an inward or outward opening door.

Our flush door system with a 44mm thick door has a 30db acoustic rating. 

The hinges used in our flush door system are fully 3D adjustable once installed.  They can be moved anywhere up and down the frame.  Also, if the door isn’t shutting correctly, you can move the hinge slightly out or in so the door can close correctly, without making contact with the frame.

Finally, you can adjust the location of the door in relation to the frame by adjusting the depth settings on the hinges, ensuring a consistent and flush system, every time. 

The distance between the edge of the door leaf and the finished frame is 2mm. On our flush door system, the door leaf will be 6mm bigger than the clear opening. 

We always provide the flush door frames primed for painting, so you can match up and paint onsite. This enables you to match accurately and achieve the perfect finish. 

Yes, we can provide the door leaf for the flush door system, with options on veneers or simply primed for painting. 

There are a few different handle and lock types available for a flush door system.  We can do a standard latch and lock (WC with latch), a key lock, or a magnet system, where two magnets hold the door shut in relation to the frame.  With this, you can have either a thumbturn, or a key. 

Door closers are available for both fire-rated and non-fire rated options. Depending on what you are looking to achieve with your door will make a difference to how we help you configure this. 

Flush, or jib, doors can be used externally as long as the door blank is external grade. We are also able to provide multi-point locks to suit the security requirements on an external concealed door.

We typically don't recommend No-Ha door handles (invisible handles) for high-end properties due to the difference in operating quality over traditional hardware. They can work well installed on service cupboards and doors that are opened infrequently.

If your flush door is fire rated, then it will need the top profile which will make the other side of the ceiling either lower or higher (depending on whether inward or outward opening).

If it's not fire rated, we can oversize the vertical profiles by 20mm so that the top profile sticks above the ceiling line. It is useful to have the top profile even if it is not going to be seen as it keeps the two vertical jambs evenly spaced apart.

We offer frames in Double Layer Powder Coated RAL colours with a fine texture, Metallic paints with Bronze finishes, our metal effect coatings of brushed or striped; Copper, Brass and Bronze. Also we offer the eye catching patinated Bronzed layer finish or a Stainless Steel finish. Other possibilities can be discussed.

We typically offer solid infill panes in either the same frame finish as the frame or with leather applied.

Yes, bespoke steel door designs are available. In fact, the doors are almost infinitely configurable with angles, curves and bespoke radiuses.

It's worth knowing also that bespoke designs can increase cost and lead time.

Yes, except fixed screens will have glass and one side of the beadings delivered loose to allow access to support fixings. Beadings to hold the glass are bonded in place or screwed with fire rated versions.

In order to offer any amount of Insulation the door will require seals to all 4 edges. 3 sides will have rubberised black seals and the bottom edge of the door will have an automatic drop seal. For fire rated systems the final bead must be mechanically fastened rather than bonded and the fire-rated glass will have an etched marking.

The Envo Steel Fire Rated EW30/EW60 system is uniquely in offering not just Integrity (E) but also Radiation Control (EW). EW certifies no flames, no smoke and heat reduction (to below 15KW/M²). The Envo Steel Fire Rated EW-60 system is tested to BS 476: Part 22: 1987. Always take the advice of your fire officer who will be able to advise on your project's requirements.

Any, providing they are compatible with the latch. Doors are supplied with hardware and ironmongery as standard, but it is possible to switch out for other ironmongery - please discuss this with us. Please note, application of third party hardware to these doors must be authorised and approved by your building control or fire officer.

For a fixed curved glass screen, there is a minimum radius of 500mm, up to a height of 2400mm, or a radius of 1000mm up to a height of 3500mm, for the glass to be rated to EI-30.

Envo hinges can be used for doors that must always close again. We also supply systems without a locking position at 90 degrees. Please check whether you require self-closing doors before using a pivot that doesn't self-close.

The System 3 is a pivot without damping or damped closure. The pivot is self-opening and closing from 45 degrees. The door then continues its motion to seek the locking position at 90 degrees. This function makes the System 3 the most suitable for 360 degrees (pivoting in the middle) doors.

Damper Control affects the intensity of damping as 90 degrees is approached. This setting hardens or softens the damping as the door approaches the 90-degree locking position. Note: when setting the damping intensity, you are also setting the closing speed. Hard damping slows closing, soft damping means faster closing.

You can adjust the closing speed. Use the Envo tool and finetune card for this.

We use a polymer adhesive: the Zettex Strongbond MS 80. This is an elastic permanent adhesive.

 Processing

 Zettex MS Polymer 80 is for bonding all metals, wood types, concrete, and natural stone. After installing the door, allowing the adhesive to cure for 24 hours is recommended in a door position where it is not used.

The doors can be placed in a suspended ceiling on condition that there is a construction behind the ceiling to which the ceiling plate can be securely fastened.

To install a door, you must ensure that the recess, floor, and ceiling are prepared. The door is usually placed in the last phase of construction.

The maximum load-bearing capacity of Envo hinges is 500 kilograms. Envo has developed hinges suitable for almost any width and weight combination.

Envo Pivots are tested in accordance with EN-1670 and are classified in the highest corrosion resistance category (category 5).

 In the case of a cast floor, it is best to use the longer pins (30 mm) that we supply. You can shorten the length easily if desired. The fact that subfloors (e.g., sand cement) are often slightly porous means that you want the pins to be firmly secured in the subfloor.

Setting the damping intensity of your pivoting door means you're setting the closing speed of the door. Hard damping slows closing, whereas soft damping means faster closing.
