Envo Slide is a self-supporting pocket door system and is made to order to your specification. The system can provide for a door leaf size of up to 2.4m wide and 3.2m high, weighing up to 120kg.

We’re often asked how to work out structural and clear openings for pocket doors, so we’ve written this brief guide to take you through the key steps to ensure your pocket door kit is a perfect fit on site.

When it comes to obtaining all the critical dimensions of the door, there are three ways to determine the dimensions:

1. Work with an existing structural opening and ascertain the largest size that can fit within the opening.

2. Have a pre-determined door leaf size that then determines the size of the clear and structural openings.

3. Have a particular clear opening that you need to achieve; thus dictating the structural opening and the door leaf size.

The structural opening is the complete opening required to house the door and frame. For a sliding door, this dimension includes the complete kit and cage. This is not to be confused with the clear opening, which is the visual or actual space that you can physically pass through.

We hope this guide proves helpful as a reference. If you have any queries or would like to talk through the process, our team would be happy to help. Get in touch by emailing info@envo.co.uk, or calling +44 (0) 208 253 9342.
